Losing someone we love is possibly the greatest challenge we face as human beings.
It’s the thing we all dread, a love one leaving us and passing into spirit. It can be a deeply difficult time and sometimes we can feel overcome with grief and sorrow, like a little part of ourselves has also gone. Grieving is an important part of being human, a sign that we have deeply loved, yet it can also feel overwhelming.
Bereavement and loss affects people in different ways causing different sets of emotions. You can experience everything from shock, anger, betrayal, hurt, grief right through to numbness, withdrawal and depression. These are normal responses but they can be very challenging to cope with.
